Then
This project is a visual adaptation of Then, a text by acclaimed Brazilian author and illustrator Angela Lago. For this piece, I was responsible for adapting the narrative into a visual format, creating the illustrations, and designing the book's graphic project.
The challenge was to transform a literary text into a visual experience while preserving its reflective and poetic nature. Rather than simply illustrating the words, I developed a parallel visual narrative that expands the story, inviting readers to discover new layers of meaning through the relationship between text and image.
This was also my first complete project created using collage as the primary artistic medium. Combining cut paper, textures, and mixed-media techniques allowed me to experiment with visual storytelling in new ways and develop a distinctive aesthetic language.
